Saint-Brice-en-Coglès ( Breton : Sant-Brizh-Gougleiz ) is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Maen Roch with 3,026 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . The inhabitants are called Briçois .
The municipality of Saint-Brice-en-Coglès was merged with Saint-Étienne-en-Coglès to form the Commune nouvelle Maen Roch with effect from January 1, 2017 . It belonged to the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and the canton Antrain (until 2015: canton Saint-Brice-en-Coglès ).
geography
Saint-Brice-en-Coglès is located about 46 km northeast of Rennes . The Loisance River runs the surrounding area to the north and northwest. The former route nationale 155 (today's D155) runs through the area . Saint-Brice-en-Coglès is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Coglès in the north, La Selle-en-Coglès in the northeast, Saint-Étienne-en-Coglès in the east and southeast, Baillé in the south, and Saint-Marc-le-Blanc in the southwest as well as Tremblay to the west.
