Coglès ( Breton Gougleiz : "North") is a town and commune Déléguée in the French commune of Les Portes du Coglais with 669 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Coglès , Montours and La Selle-en-Coglès were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Les Portes du Coglais. The municipality of Coglès was part of the arrondissement of Fougères-Vitré and the canton of Antrain .

geography

The place is about 52 km northeast of Rennes and 25 km south of Mont Saint-Michel on the border with Normandy and is a typical example of rural Breton architecture.
