Les Portes du Coglais is a commune in the French department of Ille-et-Vilaine in Brittany . It belongs to the canton of Antrain in the arrondissement of Fougères-Vitré .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2017 as Commune nouvelle through the merger of the previous municipalities of Coglès , Montours and La Selle-en-Coglès .

At the northern boundary of the municipality is the upper reaches of the Guerge river . Les Portes du Coglais has the following eight municipalities as neighbors:
- Le Ferré in the north,
- Poilley in the northeast,
- Le Châtellier in the east,
- Saint-Germain-en-Coglès in the southeast,
- Saint-Étienne-en-Coglès in the south,
- Tremblay in the southwest,
- Saint-Ouen-la-Rouërie to the west as well
- Saint James ( Manche ) in the northwest
