Villamée ( Breton : Gwilavez ; Gallo : Vilaemaé ) is a French municipality with 313 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton Fougères-2 (until 2015: canton Louvigné-du-Désert ). The inhabitants are called Villaméens .
geography
Villamée is about twelve kilometers north of Fougères . Villamée is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Georges-de-Reintembault in the north, Mellé in the north and northeast, Louvigné-du-Désert in the east and northeast, Parigné in the south and southeast, Le Châtellier in the southwest and Poilley in the west and northwest.
