Thourie ( Breton : single throw , Gallo : Toric ) is a French municipality with 802 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton of La Guerche-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Retiers ). The inhabitants are called Thourisiens .

Thourie is located about 31 kilometers south-southeast of Rennes on the Semnon . Thourie is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Couyère in the north and north-west, Coësmes in the north, Martigné-Ferchaud in the east, Soulvache in the south, Teillay in the south and south-west, Ercé-en-Lamée in the west and south-west and Lalleu in the west.
