La Selle-en-Luitré ( Breton : Kell Loezherieg ) is a French municipality with 613 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton Fougères-2 (until 2015: canton Fougères-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Sellois .

geography

La Selle-en-Luitré is about seven kilometers south-east of Fougères . The Couesnon River crosses the municipality. La Selle-en-Luitré is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beaucé in the north, Fleurigné in the northeast, La Chapelle-Janson in the east, Luitré-Dompierre with Luitré in the south, Javené in the west and Fougères in the northwest.
