Le Tiercent ( Breton : An Tergant ; Gallo : Le Tierczant ) is a French municipality with 174 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and the canton Antrain (until 2015: canton Saint-Brice-en-Coglès ). The inhabitants are called Tiercentois .

Le Tiercent is about 34 kilometers northeast of Rennes on the Minette . Le Tiercent is surrounded by the neighboring communities
- Saint-Marc-le-Blanc in the north,
- the Commune nouvelle Saint-Marc-le-Blanc with the Communes déléguées Baillé in the east and northeast and the Saint-Marc-le-Blanc ,
- Saint-Hilaire-des-Landes in the east and south-east,
- Saint-Ouen-des-Alleux in the south,
- Saint-Christophe-de-Valains in the southwest,
- Chauvigné to the west and north-west.
