David Stögmüller

David Stögmüller (born February 1, 1987 in Ried im Innkreis , Upper Austria) is an Austrian politician of the Upper Austrian Greens . He is a member of the National Council of the Greens, district spokesman for the Greens in the Braunau am Inn district and the Greens council in the city of Braunau am Inn . He is the spokesman for the Greens for the Court of Auditors, national defense, disaster control and voluntary work.

Life

After attending primary and secondary school in Riedau , Stögmüller completed an apprenticeship at the Hotel Management School in Bad Leonfelden as well as an advanced course in sports management in Bad Ischl . He then did community service with the Red Cross in the Schärding district . From 2008 to 2015 he worked for the Red Cross, where he still does volunteer work. Stögmüller studied innovation and product management at the Wels University of Applied Sciences and part-time political science. He lives and works in Braunau. There he became district spokesman for the Greens in March 2014 and the city council in October 2015. In October 2015, the Upper Austrian Greens elected him to the Federal Council, succeeding Efgani Dönmez . As of November 22, 2015, Stögmüller was deputy chairman of the parliamentary group in the Federal Council. After losing the club status of the Greens after the state elections in Tyrol in 2018 , he is a non-attached member of the Federal Council.

Federal Council

After the Greens left the National Council , the Greens - The Green Alternative in GP XXVI were only represented in the Federal Council in Parliament. Ewa Dziedzic , Federal Councilor from Vienna, sat next to Stögmüller . In the Federal Council, Stögmüller put the majority of parliamentary questions without employees or staff, since the Greens were not represented by a club in parliament at the time. Stögmüller mainly dealt with the subject of control and the fight against corruption in the Federal Council.

Innviertel

Stögmüller is social spokesman and spokesman for sports matters for the Greens in the city of Braunau and he is a member of the social welfare association - Braunau district. Stögmüller has been on the board of the Inn-Salzach Euregio regional development since March 2016.

In the Innviertel region, Stögmüller has massively criticized the inadequate expansion of public transport, and in the wake of the refugee crisis of 2015/16 he campaigned for the protection of human rights in transit tents in the city of Braunau. He criticized the plans of the black and blue Upper Austrian provincial government to reduce the minimum income several times in the Federal Council.

The green

After the youth organization Junge Grüne (Austria) left the party, Stögmüller was a co-initiator of the new youth organization Grüne Jugend, which already exists in Upper Austria, Salzburg, Vienna, Lower Austria and Tyrol. He has been a member of the extended federal executive committee of the Greens since November 2017 and of the provincial executive committee of the Greens in Upper Austria since November 2017. He is part of the "Next Generation Lab", which is trying to rebuild the Greens from the perspective of the young. Stögmüller is the candidate of the Greens Upper Austria for the National Council election 2019. Stögmüller ranks third in Upper Austria. He stands for the topic of transparency and the fight against corruption in the election campaign.
