Michel Folco

Michel Folco (born September 29, 1943 in Albi , France ) is a French photographer and writer .

Life

Before becoming a writer, Folco worked as a photographer for Black Star , Gamma and Sipa agencies . In the 1980s, Folco became famous for an incident on the Berlin Wall in which he and a GDR photographer took photos of each other. His book The Right Hand of God (original title: Dieu et nous seuls pouvons ) from 1991 tells the story of the Pibracs, a dynasty of executioners. The book was filmed in 1993 under the title Justinien Trouvé ou le Bâtard de Dieu by Christian Fechner with Pierre-Olivier Mornas in the leading role. The production design was nominated for the César in 1994. In February 2015, Pierre Makyo and Federico Nardo published Un loup est un loup Tome 1, a comic adaptation of Folco's novel of the same name.
