Mount Sinha is a 990 m high mountain at the southeast end of the Erickson Bluffs in the southern part of McDonald Heights in Marie Byrd Land in west Antarctica . It towers over the lower section of the Kirkpatrick Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1959 and 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1974 after AA Sinha, a member of the team on the USCGC Southwind , who in 1971 and 1972 Carried out population studies of seals, whales and birds in the area of the Bellingshausen and Amundsen Seas .
