The Kirkpatrick Glacier is a coastal glacier in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It flows in a westerly direction along the south side of McDonald Heights and joins the eastern flank of the Hull Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1959 and 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after Thomas W. Kirkpatrick of the United States Coast Guard , ship officer in the support units of the United States Navy the Operations Deep Freeze 1971-1972 and 1972-1973.
