The Erickson Bluffs are a series of prominent cliffs in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . They extend from Gilbert Bluff to Mount Sinha and form the coastal southwest end of McDonald Heights .
The first aerial photographs of the formation were taken during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941). The United States Geological Survey mapped them using the United States Navy's own surveys and aerial photographs between 1959 and 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the cliff after the American biologist Albert W. Erickson (1929-2013), who was on board the USCGC Southwind directed the seal, whale and bird inventory in the Bellingshausen and Amundsen Seas area in 1971 and 1972 .
