The Airon (in the upper reaches: Futaie ) is a river in France that runs through the Pays de la Loire , Brittany and Normandy regions. It rises on the municipal boundary of Montaudin and Saint-Berthevin-la-Tannière in the Mayenne department and generally drains north to northwest. Over a length of about ten kilometers, it forms the border with the Ille-et-Vilaine department in Brittany. At the confluence of its left tributary Glaine , it changes its name from Futaie to Airon . It now reaches the Manche department in Normandy, where after a total of 42 kilometers it flows into the Sélune as a left tributary in the municipality of Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët .
