Bourgon is about 21 kilometers west-northwest of Laval . The Vilaine delimits the municipality in the northwest. Bourgon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Croixille in the north, Le Bourgneuf-la-Forêt in the east and north-east, Launay-Villiers in the east and south-east, Saint-Pierre-la-Cour in the south and south-east, La Chapelle-Erbrée in the west and south-west and Saint-M'Hervé to the west and north-west.

history

On September 16, 1423 the Battle of La Brossinière took place here, in which the French troops prevailed over the numerically superior English.
