Manuel Antônio de Oliveira Lopes (born October 2, 1861 in São Gonçalo dos Campos , Bahia , Brazil , † July 27, 1922 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Maceió .

Life

Manuel Antônio de Oliveira Lopes received on 20 November 1886, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 7 April 1908 appointed him Pope Pius X to the titular bishop of Tabae and Coadjutor Bishop of Ceará . The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia , Jerônimo Tomé da Silva , donated him episcopal ordination on September 6 of the same year .

On November 26, 1910, Pius X appointed him bishop of Alagoas (later the diocese of Maceió). Manuel Antônio de Oliveira Lopes was due to the elevation of the diocese to Maceió on February 13, 1920 Archdiocese first Archbishop of Maceió.
