Louverné is a French municipality with 4302 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Laval and the canton of Bonchamp-lès-Laval . The inhabitants are called Louvernéen .

geography

Louverné is located about six kilometers northeast of Laval and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sacé in the north, La Chapelle-Anthenaise in the east, Bonchamp-lès-Laval in the south, Changé in the southwest and Saint-Jean-sur-Mayenne in the west and northwest.

The river Quartier , which is still referred to here as Ruisseau de Barbé , as well as the Autoroute A81 (Laval-Est junction) and Route nationale 162 run through the municipality .
