June Tomiak

June Tomiak [ d͡ʒuːn ] (born February 8, 1997 in Berlin ) is a member of the Berlin House of Representatives ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life

Tomiak grew up in a patchwork and rainbow family in Berlin. She attended the Wilhelm Hauff Elementary School in Berlin-Wedding . In 2015 she passed her Abitur at the Gottfried-Keller-Gymnasium . She was particularly committed to student politics and was active in various functions in the regional student committee from 2013 to 2015 . She has been a member of the Green Youth since 2012 and Alliance 90 / The Greens since 2016. Tomiak was elected to the House of Representatives via the state list in the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016. She is the youngest MP in the 18th electoral term.

She is the spokesperson for her group for youth, the protection of the constitution and strategies against right-wing extremism .

In addition to her work in the House of Representatives, Tomiak studies culture and technology with a focus on philosophy at the TU Berlin .
