Plélan-le-Grand ( Breton Plelann-Veur ) is a French municipality with 3949 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . Plélan-le-Grand belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and the canton of Montfort-sur-Meu . The inhabitants are called Plélanais (es) .
geography
Plélan-le-Grand is located on the Paimpont forest (also Brocéliande ) on the Canut River , which has its source here. Plélan-le-Grand is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Péran in the north, Treffendel in the north-east, Maxent in the east and south-east, Loutehel in the south, Saint-Malo-de-Beignon and Beignon in the south-west and Paimpont in the west and north-west.
The former Route nationale 24 runs through the municipality .
