Saint-Maugan ( Breton : Sant-Malgant ; Gallo : Saent-Maugant ) is a French municipality with 544 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and the canton of Montauban-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Saint-Méen-le-Grand ). The inhabitants are called Malganais .

geography

Saint-Maugan is located about 29 kilometers west of Rennes on the Meu River , which forms the southern municipal boundary. Saint-Maugan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Iffendic in the north and east, Saint-Gonlay in the south and south-east, Bléruais in the south-west, Muel in the west and Saint-Onen-la-Chapelle in the north-west.
