Montgermont Town Hall

Montgermont ( Breton : Menezgervant , Gallo : Monjèrmont ) is a French municipality with 3364 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and the Canton of Betton . The inhabitants are called Montgermontais .

Montgermont is a banlieue in the north of Rennes . Montgermont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-des-Fougeretz in the north, Saint-Grégoire in the east, Rennes in the south and Pacé in the west.

The former National Route 137 runs through the municipality .
