Brécé ( Breton : Brec'heg ; Gallo : Berczaé ) is a French municipality with 2106 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Rennes and the canton of Liffré (until 2015: canton of Châteaugiron ). The inhabitants are called Brécéens .

geography

Brécé is about 15 kilometers east of Rennes on the Vilaine River . Brécé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Acigné in the north and northwest, Servon-sur-Vilaine in the east and northeast and Noyal-sur-Vilaine in the south and west.

The national route 157 runs through the municipality .
