The residents are called Miniacois .

Miniac-sous-Bécherel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Longaulnay and Bécherel in the north and northwest, La Baussaine in the northeast, Cardroc in the east, La Chapelle-Chaussée in the east and southeast, Romillé in the southeast, Irodouër in the south and Saint-Pern in the west.
