Talensac ( Breton : Talenseg ) is a French municipality with 2488 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and the canton of Montfort-sur-Meu . The inhabitants are called Talensacois (es) .
geography
Talensac is about 20 kilometers west of Rennes . The river Meu runs through the municipality , into which the Chèze and the Serein flow. Talensac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Breteil in the north, Cintré in the east, Mordelles and Bréal-sous-Montfort in the south-east, Le Verger in the south, Monterfil in the south-west, Iffendic in the west and Montfort-sur-Meu in the north-west.
