Bruz ( Breton Bruz [ bʁɥ ]) is a French municipality with 18,266 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany .
geography
Bruz is 14 kilometers south of Rennes , the capital of Brittany.
The city is crossed by the river Vilaine and is opposite the confluence of the tributary Meu . It extends over an area of 29.95 km².
The place has a train station on the Rennes – Redon line .
