La Nouaye ( Breton : Lanwaz ) is a French municipality with 357 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and the canton of Montfort-sur-Meu . The inhabitants are called Lanoysiens .

geography

La Nouaye is about 22 kilometers west-northwest of Rennes . The Garun , a tributary of the Meu , flows through the municipality. La Nouaye is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bédée in the north and east and Iffendic in the south and west.
