Saint-Aubin-d'Aubigné ( Breton : Sant-Albin-Elvinieg ; Gallo : PTI 'Saint Aubin ) is a French municipality with 3796 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and is part of the canton of Antrain (until 2015: canton of Saint-Aubin-d'Aubigné ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Aubinois .
geography
Saint-Aubin-d'Aubigné is located about 18 kilometers north-northeast of Rennes . The Illet River limits the municipality to the southeast. Saint-Aubin-d'Aubigné is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Andouillé-Neuville in the north, Gahard in the northeast, Ercé-près-Liffré in the east, Chasné-sur-Illet in the southeast, Mouazé in the south, and Saint-Germain-sur-Ille in the South-west and Saint-Médard-sur-Ille in the west and north-west.
The former route nationale 776 (today's D175) runs through the municipality .
