Mordelles ( Breton : Morzhell ) is a French municipality with 7363 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and the canton of Le Rheu . The inhabitants are called Mordelais (es) .

geography

The river Meu , into which the tributary Vaunoise flows on the western outskirts , limits the community in the south. Mordelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-Thouarault and L'Hermitage in the north, Le Rheu in the northeast, Chavagne in the east, Goven in the southeast, Bréal-sous-Montfort in the south, Talensac in the west and Cintré in the northwest. The National Route 24 runs through the municipality .
