Noyal-Châtillon-sur-Seiche ( Breton : Noal-Castellan ) is a French municipality with 6919 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and the Canton of Bruz . The inhabitants are called Castelnaudais .
geography
Noyal-Châtillon-sur-Seiche is a banlieue in the south of Rennes , about six kilometers south of the city center at the confluence of the Ise in the Seiche river . Noyal-Châtillon-sur-Seiche is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rennes in the north, Chantepie in the northeast, Vern-sur-Seiche in the east, Saint-Erblon in the south, Pont-Péan in the southwest, Chartres-de-Bretagne in the west and Saint- Jacques-de-la-Lande in the north-west. The municipality consists of the localities of Noyal-sur-Seiche and Châtillon-sur-Seiche.
The national route 137 runs through the municipality from Rennes to Nantes .
