Gosné ( Breton : Goneg ; Gallo : Gosnae ) is a French municipality with 1991 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and is part of the canton of Fougères-1 (until 2015: canton of Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier ). The inhabitants are called Gosnéens .

geography

Gosné is about 22 kilometers northeast of Rennes . Gosné is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier in the north and east, Liffré in the south and southwest and Ercé-près-Liffré in the west.

The A84 autoroute and the former Routes nationales 12 (today's D812) run through the municipality . The Illet River runs in the southern municipality .
