Jonas Matheus (born April 29, 1986 in Windhoek , South West Africa ) is a Namibian boxer .

He has been world champion according to the guidelines of the International Boxing Organization since July 22, 2018, after winning points against the South African Makazole Tete .

Matheus reached the quarter-finals of the African Olympic qualification in Morocco , which he lost to Aboubakr Seddik Lbida . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, he lost in the first fight against Vittorio Parrinello (7:18). In 2013 he won the UNWTO tournament in Zambia . At the African Championships (zone 4) in 2013 and 2014, he achieved third place each.
