Bobby Joseph Wagner (* 27. June 1990 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the middle linebackers . He has played for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL) since 2012 . In the 2012 NFL Draft , he was selected by the Seahawks as the 47th player. After the 2013 season , he won Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seahawks .

college

Wagner played college football for Utah State University from 2008 to 2011 . In total, he made 445 tackles , 4.5 sacks, and four interceptions in his college career .

In his final college year in 2011, Wagner was named WAC Defensive Player of the Year .

NFL

In the 2012 NFL Draft he was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2nd round as the 47th player. Wagner was considered one of the best linebackers in this draft.

In his rookie season, Wagner managed 140 tackles, 2 sacks and 3 interceptions. In the second season ( 2013 ) Wagner won both the NFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl (Super Bowl XLVIII |) with the Seahawks . In his third season ( 2014 ) he was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first time and was also part of the All-Pro team. With the Seahawks he moved back to the Super Bowl ( XLIX ), but where they lost to the New England Patriots with 24:28. In this game he got 12 tackles and one interception.

On 2 August 2015 he signed a contract extension for four years and 43 million dollars . He scored his first NFL touchdown on the fifth day of the 2015 season after conquering a fumble. He was re-elected to the Pro Bowl that year.
