Patrick De'mon Peterson (* 11 July 1990 in Fort Lauderdale , Florida ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the Arizona Cardinals as a cornerback and also as a return specialist .

college

Peterson, who showed great athletic talent not only as a football player but also as a track and field athlete in high school , received sports scholarships from several universities. He chose Louisiana State University (LSU). For their team, the Tigers, he played extremely successfully in secondary college football from 2008 to 2010 . He has been elected to various national teams and has received a number of awards, including the Jim Thorpe and Chuck Bednarik Awards .

NFL

In the 2011 NFL Draft , he was selected in the first round as the 5th player by the Arizona Cardinals . In his rookie season, he played as a starting cornerback. Since then he has played for the Cardinals in every game (until the end of the 2014 season). He is also used in the special teams . In 2011 he scored four touchdowns after punt returns. This season he was called up as a return specialist, in the following five as cornerback in the Pro Bowl . Peterson was suspended for the first six games of the 2019 season for taking performance-enhancing drugs .
