Julius Frazier Peppers (* 18th January 1980 in Wilson , North Carolina ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the defensive ends . He last played for the Carolina Panthers in the National Football League (NFL). Peppers ended his active career on February 1, 2019.

Peppers played college football for the University of North Carolina . Furthermore, Julius Peppers played during his first two years at the University of North Carolina for their basketball team and reached the Final Four with them in 2000

NFL

Carolina Panthers

In the 2002 NFL Draft he was selected by the Carolina Panthers as the second player in the first round (after quarterback David Carr , who was drafted by the Houston Texans ). He played with the Panthers until 2009, where he held the franchise record for most sacks when he switched .

Chicago Bears

In 2010 he moved to the Chicago Bears . In the same year he was elected to the National Football League 2000s All-Decade Team .

Green Bay Packers

In March 2014 he signed a contract with the Green Bay Packers . In 2015 he was called to the Pro Bowl for the ninth time .

Return to the Carolina Panthers

On March 10, 2017, Peppers signed a contract with the Carolina Panthers.

He announced his retirement from professional football on February 1, 2019.
