Marvin Harrison (* 25. August 1972 , in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is a former American American football player at the position of wide receiver . He played his entire thirteen-year professional career for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League (NFL), with which he won the Super Bowl XLI . Most of the time he played with Peyton Manning and he is considered one of the best and most productive wide receivers in NFL history.

NFL

Harrison, who was selected by the Colts in the first round of the 1996 draft , formed a congenial duo with Peyton Manning from 1998 and was invited to the Pro Bowl every year between 1999 and 2006 . During this period he gained more than 1,000 yards of space by passing catches and set team records for receivers (yards from passing catches, pass catches and touchdowns) and together with Manning (most touchdown passes between a quarterback and a wide receiver).

In the 2007 season he was only able to play five games and in 2008 he was replaced by Reggie Wayne as Manning's most important show station. Although he played 15 games, he was only able to gain a little more than 600 yards of space. After the season, he was released by the Colts at his own request.

In 2011 he was inducted into the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor at a game between the Colts and the Carolina Panthers .

In 2016 he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on the third attempt .
