Christopher Jarrod Hinton (* 31 July 1961 in Chicago , Illinois ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of offensive tackles . He played in his career with the Indianapolis Colts , the Atlanta Falcons and the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League .

Early years

Hinton went to high school in his native Chicago. From 1980 he attended Northwestern University , where he played for the college football team, initially on the position of tight end . It was not until 1982 that he played as an offensive tackle .

NFL

Baltimore / Indianapolis Colts

Hinton was selected fourth in the first round by the Denver Broncos in the 1983 NFL Draft . He was later traded to the Baltimore Colts along with quarterback Mark Herrmann and the first round pick of the next draft . In return, the Broncos received the top drafted John Elway . In his first season, Hinton was deployed in the position of left offensive guard . He played every game in his rookie season. From 1985 he was used as a left tackle. Between 1983 and 1989, Hinton completed 94 games for the Colts and was elected to the Pro Bowl six times .

Atlanta Falcons

For the 1990 season, Hinton moved to the Atlanta Falcons . In his first season for the Falcons, he was used as the right tackle. In 1991 he was elected to the Pro Bowl for the seventh time. In 1993 he played one season as right guard for the Falcons.

Minnesota Vikings

Hinton moved to the Minnesota Vikings for the 1994 season , where he completed all 16 games of the season in his first season for the Vikings on the position of the right tackle. In his second season he came only to four missions. After the season he retired from active football.
