Career

After Owens had played college football for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga , he was selected in 1996 by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round as the 89th player in the NFL Draft . The next three years he played there alongside quarterback Steve Young , after his career ended in 1999 with Jeff Garcia , before he was switched to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004 . Owens was elected to the Pro Bowl five years in a row, from 2000 to 2004 .
Philadelphia Eagles
With the Philadelphia Eagles Owens reached the Super Bowl , but where they were defeated by the New England Patriots .
