Robert Stanford "Bob" Brown (* 8. December 1941 in Cleveland , Ohio ), nicknamed "The Boomer" is a former American American football player . He played in the National Football League (NFL) with the Philadelphia Eagles , Los Angeles Rams and Oakland Raiders as an offensive tackle .

Player career

College career

Bob Brown studied from 1961 to 1963 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln , for whose football team , the "Nebraska Cornhuskers", he played on the position of a guard . In 1962 he moved with his team to the Gotham Bowl . The opponents of the Cornhuskers were the University of Miami team , who were defeated 36:34. In all three years of study he was recognized by his college for his athletic achievements. In 1963 he was elected All-American .

Professional career

Robert Brown was drafted second in the first round by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1964 . Honors

Bob Brown played six times in the Pro Bowl , the final game of the best players of the season. He was voted All-Pro nine times . He is a member of the NFL 1960s All-Decade Team , the Pro Football Hall of Fame , the Eagles Hall of Fame, and the College Football Hall of Fame . His shirt number 64 is no longer used at the University of Nebraska.
