The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (also called UTC or Chattanooga ) is a state university in Chattanooga in the US state of Tennessee . It is one of three colleges in the University of Tennessee system . UTC was founded in 1866 and became a member of the UT System in 1969. There are currently 10,286 students enrolled here.
