Fletcher Cox (* 13 December 1990 in Cicero , Illinois ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the defensive tackles . He plays for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL).
college
Cox, who showed athletic talent in high school and also played basketball and athletics , had offers from various universities, chose Mississippi State University and successfully played college football for their team, the Bulldogs . In three seasons he put 114 tackles and scored 8.5 sacks .
NFL
In the 2012 NFL Draft , he was selected in the 1st round as a total of 12th player by the Philadelphia Eagles . Cox was able to establish himself immediately and ran 15 times and 9 times as a starter in his rookie season . A scuffle broke out in the Detroit Lions game , he was disfellowshipped and fined $ 21,000 .
In 2013 he was used as a defensive end, and in 2014 he returned to his traditional position. This year he also managed his only touchdown to date , when he won a fumble in the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and was able to carry it into the opposing end zone.
