Dannell Ellerbe Antonio (* 29. November 1985 in Hamlet , North Carolina ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the linebackers . He last played for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL). He won a Super Bowl with both the Baltimore Ravens and the Eagles ( XLVII and LII ).

college

Ellerbe attended the University of Georgia and played for their team, the Bulldogs , College Football . In 48 games, he scored 147 tackles , 8.5 sacks , 3 interceptions and a forced fumble .

NFL

Baltimore Ravens

In the NFL Draft 2009, he was initially not considered, but was then signed by the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent , where he played regularly and successfully for four seasons. So he was in the Super Bowl XLVII , which the Ravens against the San Francisco 49ers won, starter for his team.

Miami Dolphins

In March 2013 he moved to the Miami Dolphins . The first season was still very successful with 101 tackles, two interceptions and a sack, but he had to spend most of the 2014 season on the injured reserve list .

New Orleans Saints

In March 2015, Ellerbe and a third-round pick were handed over to the New Orleans Saints . In return, the Dolphins received the Kenny Stills wide receiver .

He was released in August 2017.

Philadelphia Eagles

On November 12, 2017, Ellerbe signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles . On February 4, 2018, he won Super Bowl LII with the Eagles against the New England Patriots .
After the end of the season, his contract was no longer extended.
