Jake Daniel Elliott (* 21st January 1995 in La Grange , Illinois ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the Kickers . He currently plays for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL .

Early years

Elliott already played football at high school in Illinois with two locations in La Grange and Western Springs .

college

From 2013 to 2016, Elliott attended the University of Memphis and played college football for the Memphis Tigers in the American Athletic Conference .

In total, he managed 81 field goals in 104 attempts in the four years at college and achieved a 100% hit rate for the extra points by successfully completing all 202 attempts.

NFL

Elliott was selected in the NFL Draft 2017 , unusual for a kicker, in the 5th round. The Cincinnati Bengals used the 153rd pick of the draft for him .

Cincinnati Bengals

Before the start of the 2017 season , Elliott was fired by the Cincinnati Bengals because they chose his teammate Randy Bullock as their kicker. Elliott was then added to the Bengals Practice Squad .

Philadelphia Eagles

After Caleb Sturgis , the Philadelphia Eagles kicker , injured himself on the first day of the 2017 season, Elliott was signed by the Eagles and on the third day of his rookie season he set the franchise record in only his second game for his new team breaking for the longest field goal when he scored from a distance of 61 yards to defeat the New York Giants .
Overall, Elliott played a very solid regular season as a rookie , hit 83.9% of his field goal attempts, reached the play-offs with the Eagles and moved with them to the Super Bowl LII , which they beat with 41:33 New England Patriots won.
