Corey Clement (* 2. November 1994 in Glassboro , New Jersey ) is an American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He plays for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Corey Clement played for the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the running back position for four years . In the four years he ran a total of 3,092 yards and 36 touchdowns for the Wisconsin Badgers . Especially in his senior year at college, Clement was able to convince, he ran 1375 yards and 15 touchdowns for his team in 13 games.

NFL

In the 2017 NFL Draft , Clement was not considered, but he was subsequently signed as a free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles . He received a three-year contract for 1,675,000 US dollars . In the 2017 season , Clement was the only rookie free agent to make it into the final 53-man squad of the Eagles. Although LeGarrette Blount and until his injury Darren Sproles were placed in front of Clement and later Jay Ajayi came into the team, Clement managed to get 4 touchdowns for the team and catch another 2 touchdowns. A rookie running back of the Eagles last scored 6 touchdowns in one season in 1953. On February 4, 2018, Clement won the Super Bowl LII with the Eagles against the New England Patriots . Clement made a name for himself with a strong performance at the Super Bowl, helping his team with a touchdown and four pass catches over 100 yards. The 100 yards from passing to Clement came as a surprise, as he had only caught 123 yards in the entire previous season and only 279 yards in four years at college. With 100 yards, Clement had caught the most yards for his team in this game and set a record for the Eagles with a pass catch of over 55 yards: the longest offensive play in their Super Bowl history. It was also the longest pass catch in the Super Bowl history of a running back, the previous record holder was Marshall Faulk with 52 yards. Furthermore, with James White and Roger Craig, only two running backs caught more yards in a Super Bowl.
