Brandon Brooks (* 19th August 1989 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin ) is an American American football player at the position of the Guards . He plays for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL), with whom he won the Super Bowl LII . He was previously under contract with the Houston Texans from 2012 to 2015 .
Early years
Brooks grew up in Milwaukee and attended Riverside University High School . He graduated from Miami University , Ohio . Before moving to his current position of right guard in 2011, Brooks first played as a left guard and as a left tackle .
NFL
Brooks was selected in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft in 76th place overall by the Houston Texans . From 2013 he ran on as a starter for the Texans. In addition to his NFL career, Brooks continued his education to become an investment banker after his football career. In 2014, he began a master's degree in finance at the University of St. Thomas in Houston and completed several internships.
In 2016, Brooks signed a five-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles . On December 19, 2017, he was nominated for the Pro Bowl for the first time . With the Eagles he won the Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots . On December 18, 2018, he was reappointed to the Pro Bowl.
On November 11, 2019, Brooks signed a four-year contract extension to 2024. The $ 56.2 million contract makes Brooks the highest-paid player in his position in the NFL.
