Zachary Adam Ertz (* 10. November 1990 in Orange , California ) is an American American football poker players on the position of tight ends . He currently plays with the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL).

Early years

Ertz went to high school in Danville , California . He then went to Stanford University , where he played for the college football team between 2009 and 2012. In 2012 he was elected to the First Team of the Pacific-12 Conference and an All-American . He was also a finalist for the John Mackey Award .

NFL

Ertz was selected 35th in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles . On May 9, 2013, he signed a contract with the Eagles. On November 3, 2013, he caught his first touchdown pass in the game against the Oakland Raiders . In total, he scored 469 yards with 36 passes and four touchdowns in his rookie season . In his first play-off game on January 4, 2014 against the New Orleans Saints , he also managed a touchdown. On January 25, 2016, he signed a five-year deal with the Eagles. On February 4, 2018, he was with the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots . They won this with 41:33. Ertz scored 67 yards and a touchdown in the game.

Ertz has been married to the US national soccer player Julie Ertz since March 2017 .
