Patrick Robinson (* 7. September 1987 in Miami , Florida ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He currently plays for the New Orleans Saints as a cornerback . Previously, he was with the San Diego Chargers , the Indianapolis Colts and the Philadelphia Eagles under contract. With the latter he was able to win the Super Bowl LII .
college
Robinson, who showed excellent performance as a student also as a track and field athlete, attended Florida State University and played for their team, the Seminoles, successfully college football , where he was able to set 117 tackles and achieve seven interceptions in a total of 44 games .
NFL
New Orleans Saints
Robinson was selected in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft as 32nd overall by the New Orleans Saints . In his rookie season, he played eleven games, four times as a starter , and was out of action for five weeks due to an ankle injury. He was able to establish himself in the team and got more and more playing time in the following years. In 2012 he was able to intercept a pass from Michael Vick in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles and score a 99-yard touchdown .
In 2013 he had to be put on the injured reserve list after only two games with a knee injury . In 2014, he lost his position as a starter after his coach Sean Payton was highly dissatisfied with his performance in the game against the Cleveland Browns .
San Diego Chargers
In March 2015, he signed a one-year deal with the San Diego Chargers for $ 3 million . He ran in all 16 games, with 49 tackles, one interception and 8 pass defenses.
Indianapolis Colts
In 2016 Robinson switched to the Indianapolis Colts , but his stay there was mainly characterized by various injuries. Due to a concussion and problems with his knee and groin, he was only able to play seven games and was released at the end of the season.
Philadelphia Eagles
Then Robinson came under with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he had a great season with 47 tackles, one sack, four interceptions and 18 pass defenses in the regular season .
