Bryan Braman (* 4. May 1987 in Spokane , Washington ) is an American American football poker players. He plays in the position of defensive end , most recently for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL).
Early years
Braman grew up in poor conditions in Spokane , where he and his family often had to move. With the support of his mother, he began to play sports in his youth and became a football player. His performance in high school earned him an athletic scholarship to the University of Iowa when he was 18 . Due to a depressive phase, however, he stayed away from classes and did not play for the football team, which is why he was expelled from university. As a result, he lived homeless. In 2007 he decided to go to Long Beach City College and play football there. In 2009 he then moved to West Texas A&M University .
NFL
Braman was not selected in the 2011 NFL Draft , but was invited to the Texans training camp by an assistant coach for the Houston Texans who previously coached the defensive line at Western A&M. There he was able to convince and was committed. With the Texans he was mainly used in the special teams . In the 2011 season he tackled the game against the Tennessee Titans, their punt returner Marc Mariani, without wearing a helmet. In 2012 he was able to block two punts , setting a franchise record. On March 12, 2014, the Philadelphia Eagles signed him for two years. On August 23, 2017, he was signed by the New Orleans Saints . There, however, he was dismissed as part of the final squad reduction before the start of the regular season. Eagles signed him again on December 12th. On February 4, 2018, he won Super Bowl LII with the Eagles against the New England Patriots . Braman had played a key role in causing the fumble when the Patriots attempted a comeback .
