Cary Eric Williams (* 23. December 1984 in Miami , Florida ) is a former American American football player at the position of the cornerbacks . He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Tennessee Titans , Baltimore Ravens , Philadelphia Eagles , Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins . With the Ravens he won the Super Bowl XLVII .
NFL
Tennessee Titans
Williams was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft . He was released on August 30, 2008 and shortly thereafter reassigned to the Practice Squad . On December 9, he was promoted to the main squad, but injured shortly afterwards.
In 2009 he was dismissed again and on September 29th again committed to the Practice Squad.
Baltimore Ravens
On November 24, the Baltimore Ravens signed Williams, where he mostly played with the special teams . In 2010 he was banned from playing the first two games of the season after violating the NFL's code of conduct. In 2011 Williams was named a starter. The following season Williams caught his first interception and carried him to his first touchdown in the opposing end zone . That season, Williams won Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens .
Philadelphia Eagles
On March 14, 2013 Williams signed a three-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles . After two seasons, he was released on March 3, 2015.
Seattle Seahawks
Williams was signed on March 10, 2015 by the Seattle Seahawks . He replaces Byron Maxwell , who joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015. After mixed performances, he was first replaced by DeShawn Shead on the twelfth matchday against the Pittsburgh Steelers and released by the Seahawks on December 7, 2015.
Washington Redskins
On January 5, 2016, Williams was signed by the Washington Redskins . There he played in the play-off defeat of the Redskins against the Green Bay Packers twelve snaps in the special teams and defense . On March 9, 2016, his contract expired and Williams became a free agent .
