Morgan Cox (* 26. April 1986 in Collierville , Tennessee ) is an American American football poker players. He currently plays in the position of Long Snappers for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League .

Career

college

Cox joined the University of Tennessee football team in 2005 as a walk-on . Due to his achievements, he became the team's long snapper in 2008, for which he received a sports scholarship. Cox then played for the Tennessee Volunteers until 2009.

NFL

After Cox was not selected in the 2010 NFL Draft , the Baltimore Ravens signed him on May 6, 2010. After the Ravens released Matt Katula on August 14, 2010 , he became a starter . On February 3, 2013, Cox won Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens .

In the first week of the 2013 season , he captured a punt in the game against the Denver Broncos , which was previously lumped by Wes Welker . On 19 October 2014, Cox injured in the game against the Atlanta Falcons at the anterior cruciate ligament and was on the following day on the Injured Reserve List placed, which ended his season. Cox received a one-year contract for the 2015 season and was nominated for the 2016 Pro Bowl because of his performance . On March 7, 2016, he received a new contract that binds him to the Ravens for five years.
