Washburn University
The Washburn University (also WU called) is a public, urban university in Topeka in the US state of Kansas . There are currently around 7,300 students enrolled. The university maintains a partnership with the University of Klagenfurt and is part of the Magellan Exchange, an international student exchange program.
history
The college was founded in 1865 as Lincoln College . In 1868 it was renamed Washburn College after a large donation from the industrialist Ichabod Washburn.
Sports
The WU sports teams are the Ichabods (men) and Lady Blues (women).
