Tyron Smith (born on 12. December 1990 in Los Angeles , California is) a US American football poker players on the position of offensive tackles . He played college football for the University of Southern California (USC) before being selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys and for which he has since been active in the National Football League (NFL).
Early years
Smith attended Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley , California , where he played football on the offensive and defensive line . He received several awards and was a. a. elected All-American . Rivals.com rated him a five-star talent and was ranked sixth on the country's best tackles list.
In addition, he was active as a track and field athlete , where his best values were 14.23 m in the shot put and 46.62 m in the discus throw.
After high school he attended the University of Southern California , where he played three seasons for the USC Spartans from 2008. As a rookie , he was a replacement for left-tackle Charles Brown , who is also his team-mate with the Dallas Cowboys . He was used in ten games and also played in the special teams . A year later he became a regular player as a right tackle and ran in all games from the start. In 2010 he fought with Matt Kalil for the post as Brown's successor on the left and lost, which he continued to use on the right. At the end of the season he was named All- Pac-10 and won the Morris Trophy for the best lineman in the Conference.

As a rookie, he was back on the right tackle in 2011 because Doug Free switched to the left side, and made every game as a regular. The next year, Smith switched sides with Free and played on his favorite left. He rose to one of the NFL's top tackles in 2013 when he allowed only one sack in 16 games and inflicted only one holding penalty. After the season he was elected to his first Pro Bowl , where he played for Team Rice . Prior to the 2014 season, Smith signed an eight-year contract extension for $ 109 million with the Cowboys, making him the NFL's highest-paid offensive lineman at the time.
